During an on-camera press briefing Tuesday, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders continued to lay into the reporters that have continuously pushed a false narrative in the media ever since President Trump was elected.
Couple of days ago Sarah and CNN’s Jim Acosta got into a heated argument about the false stories and retractions done by CNN in the past weeks and how despicable it is for a news organization to do this.
Today, the reporters were up in arms and twisting the truth about a tweet President Trump had sent out Tuesday morning.
Reporter April Ryan, who frequently spars with Sarah, asked for a comment on the “sexual innuendo” from President Trump’s tweet to Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. Sarah’s answer floored her.
“I think only if your mind is in the gutter would you have read it that way.”
April pressed her even further only to be shut down again.
“He is obviously talking about political partisan games that people often play in the broken system that he has talked about repeatedly. This isn’t a new sentiment, this isn’t new terminology. … He has used it several times before referencing men of both parties, in fact. If you look back at past comments he has made, it is very clear what this reference was.”
We could get so much more information to the American people through these press briefings if these reporters would just ask questions the American people care about.
99% of Americans want to know about the economy, taxes, and their safety. They don’t have time to nitpick what the President may have said in a tweet.
